Delhi-Shimla-Manali Trip (Things to do in Shimla)Part 2

Ever since I learned about Shimla and Kulu Manali from my friends I always wanted to go for a trip. Honeymoon Vacations are the best times of any year. We planned a proper schedule with a good package to Shimla and Manali for 6 days and 5 nights.  After spending a couple of days in Delhi we started our Shimla-Manali Trip on April 5th at 6 am.

Shimla:

Shimla is the capital state of Himachal Pradesh which is most popularly known as Queen of Hills that needs no introduction. Tourists and visitors from all over the world are attracted to this most popular Hill Resort. This Fantastic destination is composed of the mesmerizing greenery, pleasant climate, beautiful buildings, stunning adventurous activity, and most importantly snow-clad hills and offers more than you could hold on to. The best time to visit Shimla is from December to February especially for those who wish to cherish the complete joy of snow and snow activities. Also, March to June is the summers in Shimla that are pleasant and a perfect time for trekking, camping, and rafting.

Day 1:

The Driver (Mr. Sucha Singh) met us near my friend’s home and picked us by car(Swift Dezire)  to Shimla(380 km from Delhi). From Delhi to Shimla the journey was quite scary as we traveled a whole day to reach Shimla but this destination is all worth it and we were so excited to visit this fantastic destination. We had our lunch at Punjab in a Dhabha that worth a try. We completely enjoyed our lunch (Dal Makhani and Roti) and started towards Shimla. We reached Shimla by evening and check-in the hotel. The accommodation was simply awesome and we started to visit Mall Road after refreshing. I loved my resort which was away from the hustle and bustle of Mall road.

Mall Road:

Mall Road is the main street of Shimla and also one of the must-visit places in Shimla. This place is composed of many hotels, restaurants, clubs, bars, banks, shops, offices, post offices, and tourist offices. The heart of Mall Road is The Ridge from where you can enjoy the serenity and a mesmerizing scenic view of Shimla. People can walk up and down the Mall road slowly and enjoy the scenic views of nature while sipping their favorite coffee and very hot momos. Enjoy shopping here for exquisite jewelry and fine clothes and showpieces to take back home as memories. We bought a few things like shawls, stoles, and magnets that are worth the money.

After spending our quality time in Mall Road we reached our hotel. The dinner provided in our stay was extremely good.

Day 2:

We woke up early in the morning and we decided to have our breakfast early as we were scheduled for a Full Day trip to Kufri and Local. After breakfast, we proceeded for full day sightseeing to Fagoo Valley, Green Valley, White Flower hall, Halipad, Bimakali temple, Kufri, Indira Tourist Park, and Mini Zoo.

Naldhera

Naldhera is one of the best spots for adventure sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, photo fanatics, experience seekers, and loners. Naldhera is a place where we can move on a horse to explore all the adventurous spots such as golf course (no entry-can watch from outside), Dashera Mela Point, Shaily Peak, View of China Wall, Maha Kaali Temple and many shooting spots. Horse riding is the best way to explore the scenic beauty of the lush green hills and valleys of Naldhera.

We paid 800 INR for 2 horses named Rana and Thilak guided by the owners of the particular horses so you will not have to steer the horse on your own. This is a good thing for those who have never really been on a horse. Don’t forget to capture beautiful memories in the wilderness area. We paid 600 INR for 6 photos as they provide us with Himachali dress to wear. We are very happy with the photos and I am sure you will cherish the memories throughout life. If you want to spend some time peacefully in nature’s lap then add Naldhera to the list of your things to do while in Shimla.

Kufri:

Kufri is the highest point of Shimla which is around 16 km from Shimla and a must-visit place in your bucket list. Kufri is composed of stunning natural sceneries that offer a spine chilling experience with a complete pack of thrilling adventures.  A tourist visit to Shimla remains incomplete without having a taste of horse riding. Kufri is very famous for an adventurous horse riding and also popular for its 360-degree view, clean and cool air, and deodar forest-covered slopes. Horse Riding in Kufri is not only an enthralling experience for visitors from all over the world but also supports the locals who depend upon it for their livelihood. We paid 840 INR for 2 horses to climb to the highest point which took nearly 20 mins from the bottom. The horse ride is really scary and also it was a thrilling memorable experience. We enjoyed horse riding at Kufri to another extend.

A visit to Kufri is the best option for the people who are looking for a visual treat along with loads of adventurous thrilling activities. It is a hub that will give you an opportunity to get click along with a mighty Yak, Python, and play dress-up as a Himachali. One thing we missed in Shimla is the Ice Skating and snow which is prominently available from December to February.

At the top of Kufri, many kinds of amusement activities have grounded such as adventure rides, Buggy Rides, Yak rides, and much more. We were asked for 1600 INR for a Jeep Ride to explore the apple garden, small zoo, and few activities like zip line, river crossing, and so on. We joined with another group of people and paid only 500 INR for the jeep ride. You can take pictures sitting on the Yak for which you are charged 20 INR for 1 picture. Don’t miss eating the Maggie available at the peak that definitely worth a try.

Love in the air, cold winds for wrecked souls, and adventure for the thrill-seekers. A must visit place! I can say for sure, if you visit here once, you are bound to visit here again and again.

Kufri Fun World

Kufri Fun World is one of the popular leisure tourist spots where you can have endless adventurous activities. This Amusement Park is filled with thrilling rides such as bumping boats, virtual reality games, Zip-lining, sky swinging, bungee ejection, or mirror maze, haunted house this campus has all of it. Besides, this Fun world has several other surprising adventures which will make you visit this place over and over again.   The entry is free but you need to pay for the rides and adventures you take.

After exploring all the pieces of stuff we returned to our hotel and we left Shimla to Manali the next morning. Our trip to Shimla was an unforgettable experience. I wish we would visit this wonderful Hill Resort once again.
